SIMON MARRIOTT

Originally from New Zealand, Simon is a Produce, working in feature films, broadcast television and branded content.


While training as an actor at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, Simon worked with young people and community groups as a drama tutor.

 

It was here that he developed his love for film and the power of storytelling, so on graduation, Simon cut his teeth in the film industry as part of a film collective with a passion for positive social change. 


Taking on the role of a Director/Producer, Simon worked with charities, schools and community groups to create award-winning content that was recognised nationally and internationally, including a European Medea award commendation, a Diana Award for Anti-Bullying film 'The Anti-Social Network' and a European Commission Award for children's content.

Moving from the charity world into the corporate world he has created content for some of the world’s biggest brands including Puma, Arsenal Football Club, Nokia, H&M, Louis Vuitton, and AC Milan and has managed productions for influencers and celebrities such as Michael Dappah and Kevin Hart and directors such as Adrian Shergold and Miller Bennet.

 

In 2020 at the start of the pandemic, Simon Founded ‘On Set Solutions’, Covid Testing for the film and television industry, between 2020-2023 On Set Solutions worked for Disney, Apple, FilmNation, ITV, BBC, and many of the largest UK production companies.

 

Recent feature credits as a producer include T.I.M (Technologically. Integrated. Manservant), the debut film from British filmmaker Spencer Brown, The film stars BAFTA TV award winner Georgina Campbell (Barbarian), Eamon Farren (The Witcher), and Mark Rowley (The Last Kingdom) alongside Amara Karan (The Night Of), Nathaniel Parker (The Last Duel), and Tom Bell (Late Night Mash). Altitude is handling distribution and Netflix have purchased the UK streaming rights.

Heavyweight, written and directed by Christopher M. Anthony, the film stars Nicholas Pinnock (Top Boy, Marcella and For Life) & Jordan Bolger (Peaky Blinders, The Woman King) lead the cast. Additional cast includes Jason Isaacs (Harry Potter series, Death of Stalin), Rob Malone (Vikings), Barry Aird (Fortitude, Top Boy), Joplin Sibtain (Andor) Jamie Bamber (Battlestar Galactica, Marcella), Nabil Elouahabi (Top Boy, The Night Of), Blake Harrison (The Inbetweeners, World on Fire), Sienna Guillory (Resident Evil, The Meg 2) and Osy Ikhile (Black Mirror).

Daddy's Head, A boy and his young, recently widowed stepmother find themselves in fear for their lives after they are visited by a strange and unexplainable creature. Something that appears to mimic a horrifying version of the boy’s recently deceased father.

Julia Brown (World On Fire) and Rupert Turnbull (Nativity Rocks) star as the aforementioned widow and her stepson. Additional cast is rounded out with Nathaniel Martello-White (I Hate Suzie, Small Axe: Mangrove) and Charles Aitken (Happy Death Day, The Girl On The Train).

In 2015, Simon founded Shout Loud Creative, a boutique service production company specialising in bringing commercially successful genre films to new audiences.
